Facts
- The Macau Tower is based on Auckland's Sky Tower. Macau casino king and billionaire Stanley Ho Hung-sun liked that tower so much that he commissioned Auckland's engineering firm Beca Carter and architects Craig Craig Moller to design a similar tower in Macau.
- The tower is designed to resist 300 km/h winds.
- It is possible to see 55 km from the observation deck.
- Three high-speed glass-fronted lifts whisk visitors up to the outdoor observation deck at the 61st floor. Their maximum speed is 540 m/min.
